Stone Conservation of Graves and Memorials
We’ve been lucky enough recently to have had a few projects on the stone conservation of grave markers and memorials.
From the reattachment of losses stone elements, the dismantling of large format stone structures, conservation cleaning of stone, pointing of construction joints in lime and using our stone conservation consultancy skills in the survey of graveyards.
What’s been nice about these projects is that they span the mid to late 18th century through to mid the 20th Century. It’s nice to see the trends and art history that underpins tastes and designs from the different centuries.
