Conservation repair of Mosaic St Giles Cathedral.

One of our favourite projects this Summer was repairs to an amazing mosaic At St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh Scotland.

The mosaic was in St Eloi’s Aisle under the watchful eye of a statue of John Knox!
We matched the tesserae to our stock of Italian marble, cut the marble with hammer and hardie and finished the floor as per the original. An atmospheric place to work.
